Black Iron Hunter
Here's a little something I call a Black Iron Hunter. For some time I have made a knife I refer to as the White Iron Hunter. Since becoming a fan of the Parkerizing process for hard use field knives, I have started to use it in my knife making. This is a model I am making for those who prefer a low maintenance knife that should meet all of one's expectations.I forged this particular blade out of the no-longer-produced Cru Forge-V. The blade and the mild steel guard were then Parkerized.Rather than give a long explanation here, I suggest a quick Google search on the process for a definition. The handle on this one is a really nice example of utility grade Desert Ironwood.I have a nice supply of this on hand for those interested.
Here is a 25 minute dissertation I did on the creation of this knife model - Black Iron Hunter
